Oyster Mushrooms

Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus species) are one of the easiest and most popular mushrooms grown in India. They can be cultivated at low cost using agricultural waste like paddy straw, wheat straw, and sugarcane bagasse. Oyster mushrooms grow well in moderate temperatures with good humidity, making them suitable for year-round farming in many parts of India. They are nutritious, rich in protein and fiber, and widely used in curries, stir-fries, soups, and snacks.
